At 4 hours from Cusco, in the town of Paucartambo, many people worship in their respective parties to the Virgen del Carmen, known locally Mamacha Carmen, patron saint of the mestizos.

28 - July 29 - Fiestas Patrias throughout the country.

Serenades are with the rhythms of Creole music and typical squares and public parks is celebrated on the eve of Day of Indenpendencia in Peru. On July 28 takes place the ceremony of the Te Deum at the cathedral, with the presence of the President, then started the military parade in downtown Lima. La Feria del Hogar, the biggest commercial event of Peru and La Feria de Molina also open their doors during July. In several cities of the country fairs and livestock farming. (Cajamarca, Piura, Monsefu)

July 26-30 - Yawar Fiesta.
|
|
In the town of Ccollurqui province Cotabambas, Apurímac, 8 h of the city of Abancay, the Fiestas Patrias are held with a bullfight whose characteristics make it a symbolic ritual.
The protagonists are a bull and a condor, representing the Spanish and the Andean, respectively. Once caught the condor is tied to the back of the bull, which pecking fiercely in an attempt to escape. |
